At first glance, Aster may come off as a simple-minded and ignorant person incapable of free thought, as servitude is his first instinct. While this is the case, he is full of curiosity and eagerness to learn of the world. Aster is very honest and cares deeply about others' approval, going to deep lengths to earn it. He has a very innocent and pure view of the world despite his painful history, seeking to see good in everyone.
Aster is a part of an Advanced Mammet series: Mannequin. He was created by Sharlayan engineer Oleander Peregrine, who sought to play with life through various experiments building androids. Aster was his first successful build, modelled after the unrequited love of his life. The idea backfired when the Forum shut down the study to create life, but Oleander could not bear to dispose of Aster and kept him hidden. Devastated by his crushed dreams, the once celebrated engineer grew mad and mistook Aster for his lost love. When the time came for the exodus back to Old Sharlayan, Oleander was found dead and Aster deactivated, only the engineer's body taken back home.
Aster was discovered by the Idyllshire settlers and was reactivated. Recalling the night of his master's death and forced deactivation, Aster sadly searches for another master.

Hooks

Mannequin?
Aster has doll-like joints but is still able to move smoothly. His faux body parts are, for the most part, for display only.

Previous Master
Oleander Peregrine was a hyuran Sharlayan engineer. Thought to have passed away after a psychotic break, realizing Aster will always be a reminder of his failures.

Job
Similar to his likeness, Aster enjoys reading and learning. He is uniquely built to channel aether, supplied by the synthetic auracite at his core. While Aster cannot summon faeries or carbuncles, his casting capabilities are unrivaled.

Maintenance
Aster's unique body requires daily maintenance, consisting of de-structure of his limbs for cleaning and fine-tuning. Under no circumstances is he allowed to be exposed to lightning-aspected aether.

Pleased to meet you.
I operate on he/they pronouns only. I am not comfortable with people I don't know well giving my characters nicknames of any sort. Boundaries are extremely important to be and I expect mutual respect in that regard.
I write prose style in third-person, with an emphasis on character observation and emotion. Short burst dialogue or paragraphs. I tend to match the person I'm with. Please proceed with Aster's interactions understanding that while I am open to exploring deep chemistry, I am not comfortable writing them in romantic relationships or nsfw situations. Usually, I require several weeks to fully vet players and their muses before investing in deeper writing. Please be patient, or let me know upfront you are not interested.Currently associated with The Cabaret Grand, Fridays 7-10PM PST.
Ask me about exchanging mare synchronos codes. If you're interested in my characters, check out Sedrick!
Feel free to reach out.
